Let Detroit fund its own damned projects

Thu, 11 Sep 2008 09:05:05 PDT

9/11: Citizenship, Service and Politics Matter

Thu, 11 Sep 2008 15:35:57 PDT
I was at work at my software company when the planes hit, reading a proto-blog at the financial site TheStreet.com. One of the participants in the blog was in the twin towers when the first plane crashed into the first tower, and the blog participants - hedge fund managers, traders, etc - were first-hand witnesses. The confusion and fear was palpable, but it only became clear this was an attack and not an accident when I heard on the news that a plane had also hit the Pentagon. There were ru

Not cool - Cuil employee leaves as woes continue

Thu, 11 Sep 2008 14:45:10 PDT
Cuil’s VP Product, Louis Monier, has quietly resigned from the search engine this week, according to TechCrunch. This is not a picture of Louis Monier. Cuil has had its fair share of trouble. Where is Peter Van Loan?

Tue, 02 Sep 2008 09:52:58 PDT
The Hon. Peter Van Loan likes to go to Republican conventions. He has memorabilia from different conventions in his Ottawa office. I think he likes to go not just to learn but to feel the energy of the Republican election machine. There was a news article about a week ago that said he was going to the convention now taking place in St. Paul, Minnesota. Yet try as I might I could not find any news outlet that confirms that he went. The fact that he was on Newsworld yesterday may indicate that
